Garage Door!

I almost didn't drive past the house yesterday but our kids nagged me to go past. I'm so glad we did because we had a great surprise seeing the garage door on. I'm really loving seeing our colour selections all together.

On Sunday we went looking again for floor tiles & finally choose them. We were undecided on 600 x 600 polished porcelain tiles but made our decision to go for the 200 x 1200 wood look porcelain tiles. I can't wait to see how it will all look once finished.

Our next big decision is engineered floorboards for upstairs or solid timber.

We went past on Saturday & the guy was finishing off sanding the gyprock he let us have a look around.

Update 26/3/15 Gyprock

A lot has been happening over the past week and a half. Looks like the gyprock has been put on upstairs, not sure how many rooms are done but we can see the front rooms look done & the cornice is on. They started on downstairs I think last Saturday. Today when I went past it looked like everything might be done except for the garage cornice. We are looking forward to another walk through once we get a call to tell us the gyprock is completed.

Update 16/3/15

Update so far. Tuesday I met our ss on site & went through the bottom floor. I wasn't allowed to climb the ladder to see the top floor. I won't be allowed until the stairs are in. Not happy!

Everything is looking great & downstairs looks huge.

The aircon rough in happened on Tuesday & we had to make a quick decision where to put the outdoor unit because where we had decided a tap had been put there but it wasn't on the plan. 

Our ss told me that the porch roof was going on on Tuesday but that didn't happen until Friday. 

The gyprock was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday & the gyprockers to start Thursday or Friday but it was only delivered today. So I'm hoping they will start tomorrow.

Our rain tank got installed on Wednesday  & the insulation was done on Thursday.

I asked if there was a rough estimate of completion & was told not at this time.

Update 5/3/15

Just a small update.

Eaves & downpipes were done on Monday 2/3/15.

The electricians were in on Tuesday 3/3/15.

The eaves & downpipes were painted Wednesday 4/3/15.

I spoke to my ss this afternoon & the following things will be happening over the next week.

Scaffolding to come down tomorrow. We finally get to see the frontage. 

Aircon rough in & porch roof on Tuesday.

Insulation next Wednesday 

Then either Thursday or Friday the gyprockers will start.

It looks like all systems are go.

I've also booked an inspection for next Tuesday I'm really looking forward to seeing the inside & I'm hoping they will let me go up the ladder to check out upstairs.

Bricks Finished 26/2/15

I went past Thursday for a quick look & noticed the bricks had been finished, didn't have time to stop & take a photo.

So I stopped by today & it looks like the top half of bricks have been cleaned. I'm very happy with the bricks. It will be great to see the house once the scaffolding is down.
