Getting closer to the finish line!

With all the wild weather we have had earlier this week. We have lost power at home & our business. 

So Rob decided to stop past the house yesterday to see if we had any damage & had a quick look through while he was there (this was his first look through the house since lockup). Luckily all looked good & he could not see any water leaks.

He said the tiler had finished the powder room & the main bathroom & the laundry had been redone with the right tiles. The tiler was starting on our ensuite & should be finished by next Wednesday. 

Rob didn't think to get many photos & only come home with a few of the main bathroom. He also rang our supervisor & we will more than likely have the keys in 4 weeks or sooner. I'm doing the happy dance at the moment the end is nearly here. Then the fun bit starts organising our tiler & finally deciding what we will do with the flooring upstairs. Just waiting on quotes for solid timber floorboards to be laid.

UPDATE 28/4/15

We have an estimated date 21/5/15. Just over 3 weeks away. 

Kitchen Inspection

I met up with our supervisor this morning to inspect the house they are doing a fantastic job so far.

I found one issue with our tiles in the laundry we changed these & our powder room to Affinity Grey but our sales person put down Affinity Grey in the powder room & Affinity Ash in the Laundry. I was so upset I could have cried when I saw it.

So after I left the house I went to Tiles Direct & spoke with our sales person. She spoke to her manager & they will be ripping out the wrong tiles & replacing them with the tiles we wanted. Lesson learnt double check what has been put in writing before signing.

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. We went on a road trip to Broken Hill to visit our friends. We had a awesome time catching up & exploring.

On our way I had a call from Allworth requesting the wall lining payment & the kitchen payment so I said I would ring the ss for an inspection.

I'm looking forward to inspection but I'll have to wait as when I rang our ss today he said the kitchen had not been completed & recommended I wait until it was finished. He is going to call me to organise an inspection when it is completed & he will also ring head office to tell them to hold off asking for payment.

I also got an update the tiler was starting today & will be there for 2 weeks. 

The carpenter will be back on Friday & will complete downstairs. Upstairs is completed.

We also have stairs!!

I was so excited I left work early today in hope of seeing the tiler there but by the time I got to the house he had gone :(
