We have the keys!!

We met with our ss this morning & spent 2 hours going over the house. All was good besides a few minor issues with paint, tiles, under the breakfast bar.

The tiler has already been & has taken photos. In all our niches  the tiles around are chipped & we have noticed 1 row of tiles not straight.

The painter turned up & fixed up a couple of places.

Then I went out to pick up the kids & as I returned the kitchen company was just leaving & they sorted out the chips under the breakfast bar & put a bead of silicone that was missing there.

We also notice the kitchen tap I picked out is not the one that has been installed the code at the colour selections room does not match with the tap. It's smaller. Jan is hoping to get this sorted for us in the next few weeks.

I'm so happy that our house has turned out better than expected.

Our tiles were delivered today & we have good news we have a tiler & he will start this weekend.

  5. Thanks dcox. So glad that theses stairs ended up being included. Originally it was only going to be a wall if I remember right.

  6. The house looks good. You dont know me but I have been following this for a while now. We have just started the quote process with Allworth at Woongarrah for the same design and as they have not built a display home it has been good to see actual photos of one. If you don't mind, I would like to ask a few questions. have you had any issues with Allworth? Any problems with the changes to the design you implemented? were there any problems getting the issues you have previously issued fixed? Are you having any wooden flooring besides the stairs?

My wife and myself would appreciate any feed back you could provide on the house, Allworth / contractors and the process in general if you don't mind.

Hope that you and your family enjoy your new home.

    Regards

    Russell

    1. Hi Russell, thanks we are very happy with the house. All issues from handover have been resolved. We have handed our maintenance issues in & had the supervisor & maintenance come & walk through with me the issues & all will be resolved.
Overall we are quite happy with Allworth & have had no major issues only minor ones were in the paperwork stage. We had no problems with the changes we made to the design but we did not make many.

We have laid timber look tiles downstairs & they look amazing. We have had visitors think they were real floorboards. Upstairs we decided to go with bamboo floorboards & we are very happy with them.
